Entertainment

Tobagonians are passionate about their culture - as well they should be - it is both captivating and unique.

Art and Craft

Artistic talent abounds; any craft piece you choose to buy is sure to be an authentic representation of your Tobagonian experience.

Dance and Music

Dance is a key form of expression and you will be enthralled with the contrast between the fiery excitement of the Limbo and the energetic flair of the French-inspired Belair dance. Add to this the cuisine of one of Tobago’s many four-star restaurants and the rhythms of the steel pan and you have the recipe for the perfect night out on the town! This wonder of an instrument, the only one invented in the 20th century, is versatile enough to have you grooving to calypso and soca or enjoying a romantic evening of classical music.

Carnival

Carnival time in Tobago offers you a myriad of activities to keep you occupied - from the political commentary and witty repartee showcased in the calypso tents to the masqueraders parading in their costumes on the streets of Scarborough.

Easter

Carnival is fast followed by Easter - and no Easter in Tobago is complete without proper goat and crab races! It’s a tropical treat that must be experienced to be believed! The Carib Game Fishing Tournament is also a big draw for anglers and spectators alike during this season.

Cruisin’

You can then sail away with us during the Tobago Sail Week and Angostura Yachting Regatta, both held in May each year. Speedboats are not to be left out of the action, however - the Great Race, an annual powerboat classic from Trinidad to Tobago, is held in August and crowds line the waterfront on Tobago’s Store Bay to cheer for the winners!

Tobago Heritage

Perhaps the island’s greatest cultural legacy, however, is the Tobago Heritage Festival. Held every year around July/August, the event is rich with tradition. You can see the fanfare associated with a typical "old time" Tobago Wedding, as minstrels and other characters take to the streets in celebration.
