About Tobago

It is a historical fact that Tobago, also known as Robinson Crusoe’s isle, was the Caribbean territory that was most fought over by colonial settlers - in fact, beginning in 1654, the island had been coveted by the Dutch, the English and the French, many times over. The reason? They all saw in Tobago the gem of the Caribbean and even after Trinidad and Tobago gained its collective independence from the British throne in 1962, the island has remained the crown jewel in the Caribbean throne.

Tobago is the more laid back of the twin islands of T&T, and as such, offers visitors unparalleled rest and relaxation. If you want to do nothing all day but listen to the sounds of the waves lovingly caressing the sandy shore, no-one is going to stop you! As a matter of fact, you may even find that Tobago operates on a different time schedule - the pace is slower, the days long and languid, the sky bluer, the faces friendlier. Every moment will seem unique here, no matter what you do (or don’t do)! There’s just that feeling in the air!
